Apple Macintosh FreePPP setup
To load FreePPP (as below)- click on 'apple', scroll down to 'FreePPP'-
It might not be in the apple menu, in which case do a 'file' ,'find file' and search for FreePPP.
Free PPP loads as follows
Click on 'Accounts'
Click on 'New'
The following windows will appear - fill in as per image below
Click on 'Edit connect script' - {only visible if 'Using Connection Script' is selected}
This script works with PAP and Normal Scripting dial-up
Click on connection and select the correct modem speed (38400 = 28.8 &33.6 modems)
Nothing to do under 'Options'
Once you have finished click OK
You should now have a new connection called Satellite Net
Click on 'General' then 'Modem Setup'
AS a modem initialization string AT&F is also recommended
Thats All!
Click on connect to dial-up
Following image is just for referance and appears under 'Locations', 'Edit' - nothing to do here
Terminal Window- will load after you click on connect
Connect window - will load after you click on connect (if you don't have a terminal window)
Sequence of events after clicking on connect
A FreePPP Connection Status window will appear as follow:
The following messages will appear :
'Starting FreePPP' , 'Looking for modem', 'Initializing modem', 'dialing 491778'.....(fax noises)..... 'connecting connection successful'
Connect in the main FreePPP window will change to Disconnect
